For the 2025 season opener, the Tourenwagen Golden Era visited the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Schnitzer Classic lined up with three cars: Ralph Bahr and Yannik Trautwein each in the BMW E36 STW, as well as Lukasz Rawecki in the BMW E90 WTCC.
Ralph showed true fighting spirit in race 1, storming through the field. Starting from P21 in the BMW E36 STW he went up to P13 before the safety car cut his charge short. With P3 in the STW class he secured a podium finish.
Łukasz impressed with incredible speed in the BMW E90 WTCC – heartbreaking to see a technical issue stop his weekend. It would have been P2 on the WTCC grid.
After a strong P4 in tricky qualifying conditions, Yannik kept his cool against more powerful rivals in the first race, taking a brilliant class win and P6 overall.
Double podium succes on sunday’s race day 2.
Starting from P14 overall (P3 in the STW class), Ralph showed incredible determination and fighting spirit. With a series of strong overtakes, he worked his way up the field and crossed the line in a fantastic 9th place overall, securing 2nd place in his class.
Yannik started again from P4 (P1 in class). After a hard-fought race, he defended his position against the faster cars from other categories and finished 5th overall, celebrating another class win!
