Strong Season Opener for Schnitzer Classic in the 2026 Tourenwagen Golden Era Season

Schnitzer Classic celebrated an impressive start to the 2026 Tourenwagen Golden Era season at the legendary Hockenheimring.

Set against the backdrop of one of Germany’s most iconic circuits, the weekend delivered historic touring car racing at its very best — featuring intense battles on track, a fantastic atmosphere, and passionate fans lining the circuit.

Representing Schnitzer Classic, Lukasz Rawecki competed in the BMW E90 WTCC.

From a sporting perspective, the season opener could hardly have gone better: Following a dominant class victory in Race One, Rawecki secured a hard-fought second place finish in Race Two. With this strong double result, Schnitzer Classic immediately made a clear statement at the beginning of the new season.

Throughout the entire weekend, both the team and driver Rawecki delivered a flawless performance.

A special thank you goes to the many fans who turned Hockenheim into such a unique place with their passion and enthusiasm. This incredible atmosphere is exactly what makes historic motorsport so special.

Driver and team now look ahead to the upcoming events of the 2026 season with great motivation and confidence.
