After the disappointing retirement at the Red Bull Ring due to a broken piston, Lukasz Rawecki finally made his long-awaited WTCC race debut at the Nürburgring in the BMW E90 WTCC. We completely rebuilt the engine in-house beforehand – and it ran like clockwork from the very first second.
Race 1 turned into a weather lottery. Lukasz delivered a solid performance, finishing 6th in the WTCC class. In Race 2, he started aggressively, quickly fighting his way towards the top 10 overall. A spin, however, set him back. He ultimately finished 18th overall and 5th in class – a result that didn’t reflect the strong pace but still made for a respectable end to his debut weekend.
