First Time at Le Mans, and Already Making Headlines

Our first race at the legendary Le Mans Classic was a weekend full of unforgettable moments, valuable experience, and strong performance.

From the very beginning, our BMW M3 GT2 showed impressive pace. In qualifying, Yannik set the fastest GT2 time in Sector 1 and the second-fastest in Sector 2. On the long Mulsanne Straight, we also clocked the highest top speed of all GT2 cars – 292.1 km/h.

Yannik was eager to carry that strong pace into the race, but unfortunately, Race 1 ended early: while battling another car, a contact with a curb caused damage to an oil line. As a safety precaution, Yannik immediately decided to retire the M3 GT2.

The issue was quickly fixed, but the DNF meant we had to start Sunday’s race from the second-to-last row on the grid.

Race 2 took place under tricky wet conditions. Starting from the very back, we pushed hard and charged through the field—gaining over 30 positions. A strong way to end the weekend.

Le Mans Classic gave us everything we hoped for—and more.
We’ll be back.
